Happiness Quotes, Sayings about being happy

In the many centuries that human beings have thought and written about life, they have come up with dozens of ideas about happiness. We have the basic right to seek happiness but nothing guarantees it for us. What happiness might be differs from one individual to another. Each individual defines it for himself or herself. One person might find happiness in working at something they love to do – and getting paid for it! Others may feel they are truly happy when relaxing at home and enjoying children and grandchildren.

One thing that people must constantly be reminded of is that happiness is something that we must bring into our lives each day. We might read or hear a few words of wisdom that remind us of what true happiness is – family, friends, satisfying work, play and relaxation – the list goes on and on. In the end, we shouldn’t depend on someone else to “bring” happiness into our lives. One way to look at happiness is to consider our general attitude. If our minds are at ease we have come a long way toward being happy. Some of the wisest men and women know that when we change our thoughts about life our lives can change.
